Da Board

~ blonde redhead ~
hi, once upon a time I had a blog on this site, so long ago I don't even remember what I had called it..
~ blonde redhead ~
I started reading yours through a random sequence of events, you posted on mine a few times, this was a number of years ago,
~ blonde redhead ~
I got rid of my blog, it chronicled the downward spiral of my relationship with my ex, something that hurt too much to keep online, my point... yes I do have one..
~ blonde redhead ~
bear with me though, its my last day of work, and I'm alone and there was a bottle of wine in the fridge which I downed...
~ blonde redhead ~
is that you're not alone, and random stranger like me read your thoughts and care and know the pain of life and being alone..
~ blonde redhead ~
I guess thats all, sorry for consuming your board, I wish you all the best and don't stop writing, my life would be far more boring if you did..

Boo. Almost Christmas and I'm almost prepared. Got S an exceptional present this year. I'm really proud of myself.

I can't be bothered with anything these days. Basically not much noteworthy happening. I feel like an empty room. I've more or less been doing nothing.

Hey Dan! Hope you are doing alright these days!

London - Day 4

posted Sunday, 5 February 2006
If you've been reading these in order you'll know by now how the day started. We got up and walked to Rina's place for her class. As I'd seen the play in question I could have joined in, but I decided not to subject myself to all the stress! When she was done we had to decide what to do with our day. You might imagine Rina would be sick of plays by now, but we were celebrating our anniversary that night (the advantage of being apart on the actual day is you get to pick a convenient one). I fancied seeing Otherwise Engaged with Richard E. Grant (because he's super-cool). Anthony Head was in it too. I wonder if the Nescafé reference in the play was added just for him? So I booked the tickets for that night, but what would we do with the day? Well, My Petal had a matinée to attend so we didn't have much time. We were going to do the London Eye, but by the time we got on the tube we knew we weren't going to have time.

We wandered around a bit and saw a street performer. He wasn't very good. He would have done better if he'd shut his mouth, I think. Making people wait forever while you tell them how difficult the act is and how they really should give you money will start to piss them off. Then when the few seconds of entertainment actually does come along and it's crap, who's gonna pay for that? We had to get off so Rina could catch her show, and there was some friction. It wasn't much fun but we were able to sort it out with just enough time to grab some food together before she had to go.

That evening everything went our way. We went to a restaurant in Piccadilly Circus from where we could see the Criteron theatre where the play was. We didn't have to wait all that long to be seated and we left with just enough time that we didn't have to rush. The play itself was really good. I really enjoyed it and I think Rina did too. We had "limited view" seating, but it was fine. Our seats were definitely a better deal that those two rows in front that cost twice as much! Sitting next to Rina, I always have a great view!

When it was over we went back to the hotel and ate chocolate and watched TV. Our last full day together had been wonderful.

You're so generous "there was a bit of friction" -- you're too good to me when I'm so awful to you. Jeez. I'm sorry. I love you, I really do.

That street performer really annoyed me. Maybe even as much as the silly statue-people. Hmph.

You picked a very enjoyable play! It was good from beginning to end, even at intermission.

Sounds like the play was great :-) Speaking of Richard E. Grant, I received a DVD today ... "Withnail and I." It was made when you guys were probably still crawling - 1986 ;-)
